Production & Inventory

Production Tracking (Stage-Based)

What it's for

For businesses whose products move through a defined sequence of physical steps (e.g., textile, furniture, food processing). You want to see, at a glance, which batch is stuck where.

How it works

Your production stages are fully configurable (set during onboarding, editable later). They can be named anything: "Cutting, Stitching, QC, Packing" or "Prep, Bake, Cool, Package," whatever matches your actual floor.

  1. Start Work: Create a new Batch by entering an item name and quantity. The batch begins at your first stage.
  2. Track Progress: Each batch shows as a card in a column view — one column per stage — so you can see everything currently in progress across your whole floor.
  3. Move Batches: Click Advance to move a batch to the next stage. When a batch reaches your last configured stage, the button becomes Mark as Completed instead.
  4. Complete Batches: Completed batches move into a separate "Completed" column, and the finished quantity is added to your Inventory automatically (as a Finished Good) — no manual re-entry needed.

Pro Tip: A simplified, large-button version of this screen is available for factory-floor tablets and phones. It is specifically designed for someone with minimal training to use with one thumb!
