Sales & Orders
Orders
What it's for
Managing larger, B2B-style orders that take time to fulfill — as opposed to a quick walk-in retail sale (which uses the Point of Sale module).
How it works
- Create an Order: Start by selecting a real Customer record (not free-typed text). This keeps your customer history accurate and links orders to that customer's full order history.
- Add Items: Add line items, quantities, and prices to the order.
- Track Statuses: Track the order through its lifecycle statuses: Pending → In Production → Ready → Delivered.
- Fulfillment: When an order is delivered, the relevant finished-goods stock is deducted safely. Even if two orders try to claim the same limited stock at the exact same time, only one can succeed, completely preventing overselling.
Pro Tip: Orders connect directly to Invoicing, so you can generate a bill straight from a completed order without having to re-enter any data.
