What it's for

Defining what you make or sell — separate from the raw stock-tracking in Inventory.

How it works

• For manufacturing: Define Components and Finished Goods here (or inline while building a BOM). This is where you name a product and attach its recipe.
• For retail: Define sellable Products with a name and selling price. These are the items that show up in your Point-of-Sale screen. A retail product's stock, like everything else, only enters the system through a Purchase Order — never typed in manually.

Every product ties back to a single Inventory record. There is no duplication between "the product" and "the stock," so numbers always match perfectly across every screen in Sysvant.
